About Sal Santiago

Sal Santiago has been performing and wowing audiences in Las Vegas for decades with his unique one man show. He's been called The Human Juke Box because of his tremendous library of songs. No genre or era of music escapes him, including Latin favorites.
However, here's what you may not know about him.
Sal Santiago was born in Santiago, Chile and shares his name with that nation's capital. Sal Santiago is truly an impressive artist, a musician's musician — he plays drums, guitar, keys, trumpet, harmonica, banjo, and is an amazing Country & Bluegrass performer.
He just didn't put a cowboy hat on and learn a handful of country songs and call himself a cowboy or a country artist to jump on the bandwagon trying to sell a country show like many other performers attempt to do.
Country Music is in his blood!
Sal is a showman, an entertainer & musician first! Something that has been lost in most country acts today.
Sal has been performing as a soloist one-man band and voted the best of Las Vegas several years in a row by The Review Journal and The Las Vegas Weekly, and when the venues can accommodate — and more importantly when the budgets allow — he'll bring his complete country band "Renegade".
Sal began his very successful professional music career in Chile as a teenager recording for RCA Records at the tender age of 13. His parents then immigrated to the USA and Sal established himself as a country music drummer in Peoria, Illinois, then on to Nashville, TN — playing drums at The Grand Ole Opry for some of the biggest icons in country music. He also toured for many years with those artists, such as Crystal Gayle, Dolly Parton, George Jones, Marty Robbins, Tom T. Hall, Ronnie Milsap, just to name a few.
Sal performed at the Grand Ole Opry as a member of the Opry band (drummer) for over 3 years, and appeared in many episodes of Hee-Haw, Nashville Tonight, The Porter Wagoner Show & Pop Goes The Country.
All this prior to moving to Las Vegas to perform in some of the most iconic hotel/casinos & the biggest Honky-Tonks that sadly are no longer here, such as The Dunes, The Landmark, The Aladdin, The Silver Slipper, The Maxim, The Fremont, The Mint, The Frontier, The Monte Carlo, The Desert Inn, The Hacienda, The Treasure Island, The Riviera, The Tropicana, The Silver Dollar, The Long Branch, The Cow Palace, The Nashville Nevada, and many more.
